Texts
DAPCA offers two doors onto the same digital corpus, because scholars arrive at a tablet from two different directions.
- The Catalog answers "which texts does this publication contain?". It arranges the corpus the way the discipline has always arranged it — by printed edition — and is the natural starting point when you come from a bibliographic reference.
- The Database answers "which texts have these characteristics?". It is a table with one row per tablet, filterable by any recorded property, and is the natural starting point when you come from a research question.
Both doors open onto the same room: the cuneiform text itself (sample; see also View tablet).
Who sees what
Everything on these two pages is filtered by your account. This is not a display convention: texts outside your permissions are simply not part of the page.

The account type is set by the administrator, together with the list of archives the account may work on.
Published and unpublished texts
A text that is not yet released for publication is shown in grey and cannot be opened. Editorial accounts (Advanced users and Administrators) see the same text as a working link, marked with a draft badge, and can open it while it is still being prepared.
